Announcement: The 2018 Quanta Global Culture Ambassador Award Winners

Quanta Culture and Education Foundation selected 15 foreign college students as the Culture Ambassador Candidates, who take on the roles as the culture ambassadors representing their own countries. By pairing them with 15 Quanta Partner Schools located around Taiwan, foreign students introduced geography, history, music, art, cuisine, etc., to Taiwanese students, who learned about foriegn culture without traveling abroad. In collaboration with the partner schools, the 15 Candidates have interacted with more than 3,200 people and reached 7,400 people worldwide. 

After a heated debate among the judges, QCEF is pleased to announce the 4 winners:

The winner of each of the following awards: 2018 Global Culture Ambassador, Best Promotion Award, Most Creative Award, and Best Execution Award will be announced at the Award Ceremony on 1/31.
 
 
Winning Reasons:
1. Bartosz Czerwinski:
In coherence with the savory Taiwanese dumpling, Bartosz introduced the blueberry-flavored Polish dumpling. Students were able to quickly pick up the differences in culture through a similar cuisine. Bartosz patiently explained the procedure and handled the students with great care.
 
2. Cong Phu Le:
With background in teaching, Cong Phu fostered a solid didactic cultural mission that educated not only the students, but also the teachers. Cong Phu was able to oversee the whole class, while paying close attention to the students’ need. From the thorough mission proposal and the detailed self-evaluation report, one can see Cong Phu’s responsible and hard-working character.  
 
3. Denis Delgado Kikumoto Gracia: 
Through a wide range of cultural activities, Denis brought a diverse hands-on Brazilian experiences to students in Hsinchu. With patience and great time management, Denis conducted each activity with a thorough planning; thus, everything went well according to plan. Students and teachers have great impression of Denis’s loving character.
 
4. Viviana Ruiz:
Involving the local community and parents, Vivi’s cultural mission included 6 Paraguaian-themed stations that enabled students to learn while having fun. From dance, to sports, to cuisine, to art, Vivi delivered activities that appealed to students’ five senses. Vivi’s effort is rewarded in the students’ smile.
