Quanta Global Culture Ambassador Progress Report

The progress of the 2018 Quanta Global Culture Ambassador are as follows:

• Reach out to over 80,000 international students in Taiwan:

1. Gain opportunities for expression and progress in Mandarin language skills
2. Enhance the cultural awareness of Taiwan
3. Share personal perspectives and experience on local culture
4. Participate in international cultural volunteer activities for more in-depth cultural experience
5. Produce a report on their experience during their mission implementation period

• Counselors from 153 colleges and Universities throughout Taiwan:

1. Gain experience partaking in and overseeing the development, progress and execution of activities
2. Gain consultation experience in Taiwan
3. Enhance experience in global communications and consulting foreign nationals

• 15 partner schools from 15 counties and cities in Taiwan:

1. Gain an international perspective on Taiwanese culture
2. Gain various in-depth aspects on international culture
3. Gain experience in global communications and cooperation with foreign nationals
4. Enhance multitudinous cultural and self-awareness
5. Strengthen your multicultural worldview
6. Publish your experience and progressive results on cultural missions and interactions

• Global exchanges domestic and abroad:

1. Advance the promotion of Taiwanese culture
2. Enhance the promotion of Mandarin language learning
3. Establish intimate collaborations with Universities and Mandarin Language Centers in Taiwan
4. Provide collaborative opportunities between University, primary and secondary school teachers and students
5. Co-produce a mission report

• Implementation
• In 2018, 15 Culture Ambassador candidates representing 8 different countries were selected from 153 colleges and Universities throughout Taiwan to implement their cultural missions in the designated 15 Quanta Partner Schools throughout the island. In a period from 19 November to 22 December, the candidates and partner schools collaborate to plan and complete 15 unique cultural missions, engaging with a total of 1,000 teachers and students at on a global level.
• In recognizing the collaborative efforts between the candidates and partner schools’ staff, QCEF celebrates their efforts and achievements in the end of the program by organizing an awards ceremony on January 31, 2019 where the winners are recognized and announced with: Global Culture Ambassador 2018, Best Promotion Award, Most Creative Award and Best Execution Award. The attending VIPs included the Education Counselor of M.O.E., Chiu Yu-Chan; the Embassy Representative of the Republic of Paraguay, Carlos Vidal Pintos ; along with the representatives of five Mandarin Language Learning Centers and partner schools’ representatives.
