Scholarship ProgramsScholarship programs assist talented elementary, junior high, and high school students from disadvantaged families, giving them opportunities to pursue art-related fields. Each year, grants of between NT$12,000 to NT$30,000 are awarded to students. Funding for these scholarships comes from donations made by Quanta Group colleagues.
Volunteer ProgramsThe Foundation recruits volunteers who share its vision, encouraging them to use their expertise in education, art, and multimedia to assist schools. For example, employees from Quanta Computer visit schools to teach students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds how to write computer programs and apps, providing them with a chance to learn new skills.
Disaster Relief ProgramsWhenever major disasters strike Taiwan, the Quanta Culture & Education Foundation is always at the forefront providing disaster relief. In 2009, when Typhoon Morakot severely affected Southern Taiwan, the Foundation formulated the “Five-Year Action Plan to Rebuild Schools” to support students and teachers in disaster-stricken areas. The plan is divided into three phases and to be implemented through 2014. It comprises scholarships and training programs, as well as projects to rebuild libraries and art education courses for teachers.
